Guideline for Abstract Submission

Abstracts must be submitted in English, word processed using MS Word.If the authors wish to present their papers in Sinhala or Tamil, submission of an English translated Abstract is compulsory

An Extended Abstract (an extended version of the Abstract with more elaborations) of less than 1500 words should also be submitted together with each Abstract for reviewing purposes

Guidelines for Preparing the Abstract

    • The abstract should be short, clear, concise and coherent.
    • The abstract shall contain a minimum of 250 words and a maximum of 350 words. (not including the title, name/s of author/s, affiliations, and keywords)
    • The title should be less than 30 words (Font: Times New Roman, 14 pt, bold and sentence case)
    • The abstract should cover all aspects of the work carried out, i.e., introduction and objective(s), methodology, results and discussion and conclusion.
    • Tables, figures and photographs should not be included.
    • Keywords: A maximum of 5 keywords, Font: Times New Romans, 11, and Italic.
    • Format: Paper size: A4 (One-inch margin top, bottom, left and right)
    • Font type: Times New Roman (English)
        • Font size: 12
        • Line spacing: 1.5
    • Abstracts must be submitted on or before 20th  of March 2025 as an email attachment to icliseditor25@gmail.com

* Abstracts will be accepted for oral presentation in the conference. The work presented should be related to any of the nine Conference sub-themes listed the website or to any areas falling under the conference theme.


* If your Abstract is accepted, you will be asked to submit the camera-ready version of the Abstract before the stipulated deadline.

Guidelines for Preparing the Extended Abstract

*Extended abstract could be submitted in English, Sinhala or Tamil. In the case of submitting the Extended Abstract in Sinhala or Tamil, submission of an English translated Abstract is compulsory.

Title

 Title of the extended abstract should be the same as that of the abstract submitted. The title should appear in Sentence case for English and centered. Spell out in full if  uncommon abbreviations are used

Author Details

First name followed by surname, centered, followed by designation (if any), office address (if any), e-mail. If there are multiple authors same format should be used for all. Underline the author who will correspond with SLLA

Text

Should contain the introduction, objectives, theoretical considerations (if any), methodology, findings, discussion, conclusions, recommendations and references.

Reference Style: 7th edition of the APA style

Format

Paper size: A4 (One-inch margin top, bottom, left and right) Font type: Times New Roman (English)/ FM Abhaya (Sinhala)/  Kalaham (Tamil)

Font size: 12

Line spacing: Single

Length: not exceeding 1500 words

Tables

Tables must be included as part of the text immediately after the first point of reference. For improved readability, keep your tables as simple as possible. All the tables must be centered in the main text. Table title should appear immediately above the table.

Figures

Figures include charts, graphs, and drawings. All figures and other graphics should be embedded or electronically placed within the text immediately after the first point of reference. All the figures should be centered in the main text. The figure caption should appear immediately below the figure.

Extended Abstracts together with abstracts must be submitted on or before 20th March 2025 as an  email attachment to icliseditor25@gmail.com
